The Ultimate Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything is 42. The number 27 has even more unusual properties. It is a perfect cube. (3x3x3=27). It is the age at which many famous artists have died.  For more examples visit Wikipedia.  Even more unusual than these two is the number 37.  The brightest stars in Open Cluster NGC 2169 seem to form the image of the number 37.
